Yes, this poem is profoundly labeled: Poem 2.
It is not Poem #1, as number One is not adequate to post yet, though maybe with more work. I haven't come up with a title for this poem. So, if you please, leave a comment, tell me what you think and maybe a suggestion for a title. :)
Here is Poem 2:
Who am I to dwell in grief,
While my suffering may well be brief?
How long can I lick my wounds,
When trials may be over soon?
Yes, for now my pain is fresh,
And hurt threatens to feast my flesh.
My heart seems at its bitter end,
And my soul, it seems is left to fend,
Against the winds that look to blow,
Away the comfort I called my home.
My breath grows short and here it seems,
The weight of sorrow splits the beams,
Of the joy I held so tight,
Which now grows feeble at the sight,
Of losing what I held so dear,
Which already cost me many a tear.
Praise be to God, who does not prolong,
The suffering of the right or wrong,
He acts with mercy and with grace,
to paint the picture of his face.
Though suffering, it may be a brush,
And blood, the paint of joy that's crushed,
In the end, I think we'll find,
Loosed chains that did former bind,
Our souls unto the cursed ground,
In which was distraction found.
Soon, I think, we'll truly see,
Just how we were made to be:
Up into the heav'ns we'll soar,
And finally see our Lover,
Forevermore.

Hello there! Welcome to my poetry blog, Poetry Considered. I do admit, I'm not a professional poet by any means, but I do enjoy it quite a bit. I do not promise to have a new and profound poem on here every day, but I do hope to update relatively often. But hey, you can't rush poetry! :)
Though I'm not professional (as I confessed earlier), I do hope that God uses my circumstances, thoughts, and poems to inspire you to live for Him and appreciate the beauty around you.
